#2 - Jacob Farrow ⭐

I want him to play like a Tim Watson.

Just imagine

This is all that I have wanted for the past 20 years. Loving the new recruiters

Had a mare of a kick resulting in an opposition walk in goal but didn’t drop his head. Next kick was a lace out across the field leading to our score. LOVE

Another good game for this young guy.

He lacks a little aggression and is a bit timid in the contest. But that will get better hopefully.

yep he did similar in the VfL
with a direct turnover from kick in, but kept going for his kicks.

Anzac day will be a great experience for him. hopefully Robey and Sharp experience it too.

Robey’s goal would have brought the house down at the MCG on Anzac day.

I actually think he had a bit of a down game from last week, reminds me of Dennis Pagan quote about being down media street. But all good big game for the lad next week.

Nguyen should be well ahead of Sharp in getting a game.

He is the type of kid that will benefit heaps from years in the system.

A bit fitter, a bit stronger, a bit more belief, a bit more ownership, then finally some old man anger issues… then he will be a hell of a player.

Got all the talent in the world.

id like to see him given a good chunk of a vfl season as the lead midfielder, that should encourage welcoming contact and urgency.

having sharp run with pendles would be most beneficial and would trump ‘deserving’

So, you’ve got a kid who has been playing really well in an area of need in the VFL, and just had a game winning performance, and you’re going to instead bring in the kid who doesn’t yet have the engine, who has played one game back from injury, who by reports did fine but no better in the VFL, to play on Pendlebury???

I know I say play the kids, but that doesn’t mean form doesn’t impact it.

We can beat Collingwood in the middle as long as McGrath plays a shutdown role on Daicos.

What we need a ton of is forward pressure to stop Collingwood’s backs from opening up the field and pressure is Nguyen’s specialty. Nguyen in makes the most sense.

Cos i dont care about this year? i want to see us making deliberate moves for us to be as good as we can in 5 years time.

Sharps engine is fine, he was already in the team before his injury and he played really well yesterday.
Bring them both in.

They play completely different positions anyway, I’m not sure what the argument is here.

Nguyen is excelling currently as a small forward in the VFL. The role Sharp played in the AFL. Where we’re not doing so badly the last 2.5 games.

Sharp didn’t play out the VFL match on the weekend according to watchers. He had 58% and 44% (injured) TOG in the AFL. What makes you think his engine is ready yet?

He shouldn’t be brought in as a small forward, that I agree on.

His engine though is fine. He had an entire pre season and his running has never been an issue for him.
If he comes in it should be for Day Wicks, who would be unlucky to be dropped but I thought he was poor yesterday.

Johnson in for Ridley imo, but I think itll be Prior, and id drop Gresham for Nguyen.

Farrow has some defensive issues that he needs to tidy up, however, you need to persist with him, so he gains more experience.

Hes a first year player of course he has things he needs to work on.

The question then becomes, where is the right place to work on these issues?

I like the little gold star next to Jacob’s name.

I reckon whenever a player breaks out blitz should update their thread accordingly.
