Why? Surely even if we have pick #5 we're only going to be able to pick one of Parish and Francis. Both seem good, not sure why its a huge fuss.
Haha probably more personal bias on my part as I prefer Parish and word is Melbourne are super keen to get him if they can upgrade to pick 3 whereas GC not so. But it’s a fair point. Either way we should get something really good to work with at pick 4. Now if we were somehow able to wrangle pick 5 from the Saints. Hello!
I havent seen many prospects this year and I only just watched some highlights now. Jeez Francis looks impressive! He almost looks ready made, he will play a lot of AFL football next year (baring injury) where ever he goes.

If he’s the one that barracked for us (had no solid confirmation yet) then I’d say he’s already ours.

Carlton will be picking Weitering and Brisbane will be picking Schache which only leaves him to get passed GC. I don’t see them taking him simply because I see them suffering from the same thing that Brisbane is going through now with no one wanting to stay there (particularly kids). I see them taking Curnow to compliment their forward line or someone else to be honest.
His family are massive Essendon supporters and so is he, he is also (arguably) the best player in the draft with some of the highest potential.
We will be picking him if he is there at our pick and if we get pick 5 (hopefully) then I would assume we’d be taking Parish next.

I don’t think we would overlook Weideman, and I very much doubt we would take Francis & Curnow with 4 & 5 together. We might take one of them, but not both. We just couldn’t take 2 players (who are both 191 cm) that play semi-Key Position/ semi-midfield.

Was initially a little bit weary given the talk that he’s best suited to a third tall defender position which really isn’t the sort of player you take with a top 5 pick, but after seeing everything that he can do he just screams natural footballer to me. He will definitely be a top player.
