Houlihan seemed the latter. It’s hard to fix sometimes.
Personally I’d be focussing on guys who have the onfield chops who have intensity at the footy but lack the professionalism, rather than the massive tool bag but no ability to use it in a game or real intensity at the footy.
Pickett’s standing within this year’s pool has long been a point of contention among recruiters. But the electric 171cm small forward has since rocketed into first-round calculations, having been officially invited to the first night of the draft on November 27.
The Western Bulldogs – who hold pick No.13 – are heavily courting Pickett, while Melbourne is also interested in the smart goalkicker should it find a suitor to trade down from pick No.8.
True.
And Hartley leaving may shuffle the choice of defenders around a bit more - there’s supposedly a few tall defenders in the top 30 listings that other clubs wouldn’t want to see drift to our pair of picks.
Obviously it will depend what talent is available but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us pick up two or even three developing talls. Conversely I’d be very surprised if we went with two mids in the 30s.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on Harrison Jones? 196cm Forward. Could be a good option if available at one of our picks in the 30’s. Philp is the other one I’d take in the 30’s.
