I think you’re right - pretty sure once upon a time (I also haven’t had a team for ~6 years), SC had a rule that if a player scored zero they could be replaced.
It’s probably fair that they removed that rule. It seemed a bit inconsistent that if someone injured a knee hitting the ground after getting the first hitout they couldn’t be replaced, but if they’d missed the hitout they could be replaced.
Still sucks when your player gets injured, either way, so commiserations on Crouch and Tucker this week. At least one of them contributed to an Essendon win, I guess?
Your memory is right there used to be a loophole where a 0 scoring playing didn’t count in SuperCoach and Dreamteam. However that changed about 10 years ago!
UF does have an option to replace a player if they play less than a certain percentage of time on ground. I’m in another comp that uses it where we have fewer scoring players. Given we use 18 players the risk of an injured player is higher so it’s difficult to delineate where to draw the line. Therefore don’t think we should introduce it.
Lol, by my count I have at least 9 injured players, probably 10. I may get Atkins and Bonar back but no certainty they play seniors. What a season this is.

I just knew I’d get burnt trying to game the rolling lockout. Ross late withdrawal, wills and aisch omitted, Jones locked in as a utility and it’s donut time.
I don’t suppose there is some rule about the the utility subbing into the donut and someone coming off the bench to cover the utility.
There isn’t, but I have thought we should probably implement this rule in the off-season. I think it has merit (just not now as I want you to wear donut for cheating me a win earlier in season )
