2020 Grand Final Richmond vs Geelong

Dusty talking about how the next few days are going to be a lot of fun.

I’m sure we’ll get the updates on the exploits :joy:

Well done tigers an dusty. My highlight though was just how ■■■■ the figjam Dangerfield was. Can’t wait to hear Whately interview him this week

Voss probably apply for the north job

The only upside to the North job is theres no expectations. Can literally build a side from scratch and probably live without a lot of scrutiny for maybe 4 seasons.

Reckon Voss could finally have good run at it. Great opportunity. Especially if they nail the draft.

Having been to a stack of Richmond games in the late 90’s- early 00’s (by virtue of having a stack of Tigers-supporting mates), I find it hard to reconcile this is the same team. They were a deadset rabble in every way. Their games were just an excuse for their supporters to get shitfaced.

Good on them. Right now, they are everything we are NOT. Amazing what happens when everyone pulls in the same direction…

That is their strength

Feel Gazza couldn’t win one last flag

What a career,what a player,what a champion

Richmonds strength is that they can get a free against them. Look straight at the umpire with the opponent 3 metres away backing away waiting for the ball to be tossed back. And as a Richmond player they can just put the ball of the ground with no consequence.

And that’s what they can do at every single contest. Guy takes a mark. Opponent sits on him for 4 seconds. Get pinged for holding the ball. Pretend you don’t know who you’re giving the ball to. Over and over again at every contest. That and pushing the opponent in the back and tackling guys before they take possession with no consequence in either case.

That is the Richmond trademark. Make it an ugly messy scrap and then let Dusty make sure you win.

If they were umpired like Essendon they’d give away 80 free kicks in the first quarter every single week, and then they might second guess the way they approach the contest.

The entire AFL has been hypnotised by the bullsht. We’re not watching football.

Richmond were 5 last for frees given to em this year. Kinda don’t agree with ya

Edwards is a master of being in the right position.

The whole side is like that

So Houli did his calf a few minutes after Vlastuin was knocked out. Pretty impressive to play that game out and not leave the Tigers short.

Didn’t see anything tonight that suggest we should move to a night grand final.

It’s supposed to be a day to share and I can only imagine a lot of people put their kids to bed at half time.

Much prefer the day time slot or Twilight at the latest.

Agree, they are very well drilled.
Edwards just strikes me as having a sense of where he needs to be around the contest.
High, high footy IQ that guy.

He should interview them to see if they are worthy of him

Frees for doesn’t matter, it’s the “commit 800 infringements a quarter, they’ll only pay 7 or 8 at most, so we’re 792 in front” that I hate.

Might have won more if he wasn’t a mercenary who bailed on them.
Could argue that his selfishness has cost Geelong more flags

Agree entirely on the timeslot. Goes from a family day catching up with friends to something completely different.

Gillon has already suggested there could be more night grand finals and give the AFL time and they will think of more changes which are good for the game.
