2020 Grand Final Richmond vs Geelong

Two things about the timeslot.

  1. Which is the actual purpose of moving to a twilight/night GF? The excuse of better tv ratings is a farce. If a GF was at 2:30pm, every single die hard or average football fan is going to watch. Changing the time slot so somebody who doesn’t give a rats about the game will potentially watch because it’s at a later time doesn’t make sense to me.

  2. AFL pre game entertainment will still be during the day time if it’s a twilight GF. Doesn’t get dark till around 6pm on the last Saturday of September.

I think the idea is to have a half time entertainment show as well.

I want to know what was injected into Gary Ablett in the Brisbane drug dungeon

There is daylight between Richmond and the next good team. They’re quick , their skills are sharp, they don’t fark about and they run in packs all day. That’s a team that can afford to have passengers.
Unbelievable.

Alas Geelong, too many faded stars, topping up for far too long. That’s it for the current list. Back to the draft Scott.

Richmond played like Auskick would be like, if the kids were allowed to kick it off the ground.

Richmond play wet weather football in all types of conditions, just knock the ball forward whichever way you can and swarm the opposition into a mistake when they get it.

They lost their first final and won last week by 6 points.

So, let’s just forget the 2020 AFL season even happened, eh?

Saw a post last night with someone comparing them to the Australian cricket team in their pomp. Could sleepwalk for most of a Test match but in the space of a session would blow teams away. They knew when to go.

They play excellent team football. So they have a gameplan the players will follow and execute all the time and they trust/know their team mates will follow and execute it. Makes a massive difference to being an consistently excellent team.

It’s ugly, hard to watch, brutal with a dash of individual brilliance from Martin.

Can’t see a way of stopping this rolling chaos football, and it makes me sick to think they should be red hot favourites for next year too.

Seeing some of the supporters just take success for granted now is really painful.

Hopefully Rutten knows exactly how it all works and can get the bombers to play that way over the next couple of years

I stand by what i said last night. There is no Skill in Richmond’s game plan. Bash it forward and let your once in a generation player get you over the line.

Players carrying their kids to get their medals is a no from me, 7 also cut to a kid running around during Dimmas premiership speech, whole thing had a carnival atmosphere.

Trade week is the real season

Gill and his henchmen will be hoping they go to the wall and then send them down here to shut us lot up.
But thats got nothing to do with the final. Didn’t like the tigers this season, diving cheats. But they do play as a team and deserved to be premiers. Full credit to them.

While that is true, it the mobility of their bigs and the frantic smalls that get the ball rolling.

If anyone ever undervalued flankers, you can’t now

Chased the money and good on him for that. But would have probably got more glory if he stayed a cat.
