Yeah that only worked on some early machines. We used to rub our shoes on the crummy nylon carpet at Hoyts’ arcade then jump in the air and touch the machine and the static would discharge and give us credits.

Those KISS icy poles were the business. Lemonade, cola and raspberry. Many a 20 cent coin was nicked from Mum’s purse to fund visits to the Milk Bar for one of those bad boys…
At one stage there was a caramel, banana and strawberry Paddle Pop (the banana layer may even have been choc-dipped too now that I think about it…) which went down very nicely too…

Does anybody remember joy fruits? I swear I must be remembering the name wrong because nothing comes up when I google? They were in a packet like skittles, I know they came in lemon flavour and maybe orange. They were similar shape to skittles.
Do you remember the paddle pop comp.
