Am i the only person that thinks it’s a pipe dream that we get pick 26 for Fantasia?

Feel like I read somewhere that they have NGA player that will be early pick so picks to them don’t really matter as they will need to use pretty much all of their picks they hold to match an early bid. So whether they hold 26 or 31, does not really make much difference overall.

Lachie Jones is linked to Port Adelaide and the Twomey and Draft Central best kids lists at the moment have him going at #9 or #10. That would wipe out their next 2 picks. If they give us either #26 or #31, then they have to pay with their other 3 picks, which wipes their draft hand.

Personally, I doubt they hand over #26, as its worth the most points, and they’d prefer to use 2 picks to match the bid. #31 has the same problem. But #39 might work as their #26 and #31 pay for a pick #9 bid.

If we got #39 I’d still think that is MUCH more than I expected.

@aceman noted we apparently want a late first off Port, with assumption of a pick back no doubt.

And that Raz’s manager been advised to keep convo happening with Crows. Both clubs buoyed by his medical results

We want more than what Port are currently offering and both Fanta and Doughty are keeping dialogue open with the Crows just in case. Although his preference is Port he understands that it might not be possible and he realises as a contracted player that we need to be compensated fairly

Um, if we got a first rounder (and Port don’t actually have one at the moment) for Raz and a pick back, I’d be over the moon. That values him at the Caldwell cost. Given his injury history … well, I’d be chuffed.
