2021 Draft Watch

would be great if we could lend Tiwi a couple
of bombers for a run, could be like a preseason match for our boys. get some people through the gates. Maybe if there wasn’t covid to worry about. would be a great opportunity to give our indigenous lads.

I mean imagine having the choice of playing a live NTFL match for Tiwi or playing GWS in a practice match/ or a intra club match.

Adding brand and Eyre for some height. Tippa has he ever played NTFL? and Johnson. plus send a coach and fitness staff up with them too along with Forster-knight, Dodoro and Sheedy.

last years indigenous game went so well in Darwin.

Adelaide clubs have Sanfl matches starting early for their kids.

we’re already tuning in to watch NTFL when the Davey boys play.

The SANFL sides are playing 4 trial games starting in February so they get a good head start on the Victorian clubs

Watching Charmed were you?

No, I had a crush on her from when she was in “Who’s the Boss”. I should note that I was also a kid at the time.

seems an odd decision by AFL.
TAC Cup/NAB League was the envy of the other states in the past, as a elite junior pathway.

The AFL is removing funding from male development programs to feed female development programs… and for those people that say equality means removing resources from one to feed the other, the AFL proves them right.

Which is absolute bullsh*t.

If the AFL was fully committed to the Women’s competition, it wouldn’t be at the expense of the men’s program. They have f*cked the AFLW from the beginning. It’s been an absolute disaster. They have gone about it all wrong.

This is an utter disgrace.

Again the AFL proving they are more interested in virtue signalling than making decisions that commit to raising the standards of players coming into the competition. What competition willingly regresses?! Fark you AFL.

Men’s football is always going to draw more money than the women.

They are really hurting themselves financially In the long-term by doing this.

The TAC Cup always appeared to be such a good system for the boys.

what a complete and utter joke. is there a more amateur sporting league in the world?

Yeah wow. Good news for the girls but surely the powers that be could have found alternate financial streams as not to effect the male programs. Really feels like a cut of your nose to spite your face scenario from the AFL.

It’s an absolute joke league.

Laughable.

Unfortunately there is very little competition in this country to keep them accountable.

Is it though?

Instead of having a tailored development program with coaches that have the expertise to coach young women… they’ve just shoe-horned them into the men’s program. A one size fits all approach.

The AFL has failed to make the women’s competition legitimate by trying squeez it around the men’s competition and created a Mickey Mouse round robin comp that lasts 2 months.

If the AFL really want to help the Women’s league, they should play before the men, much like the reserves used too.

I’m sorry, but Women’s footy as a spectacle is not worthy of a stand alone match day.

Meh. Many industries have had to recede in the current environment. First world problems.
