After each game this season, each of the five Essendon VFLW coaches allocated 1-5 votes per player. The maximum votes a player could receive each game was 25.
CBomb is the only one who can perhaps blame injury for missing out, as perhaps without the hamstring early in the Geelong game sheâd be 213*17/14=259 votes as well!
EDIT: the above is wrong. CBomb would have got at least 5 votes against Geelong just for turning up.
1st - Eloise Ashley-Cooper (259 votes) - 17 games 2nd - Alex Morcom (242) - 17 games 3rd - Alana Barba (234) - 17 games 4th - Mia-Rae Clifford (215) - 17 games 5th - Cecilia McIntosh (213) - 15 games 6th - Marianna Anthony (212) - 16 games 7th - Kendra Heil (205) - 17 games =8th - Nat MacDonald, Courtney Ugle (204) - 17 games 10th - Georgia Nanscawen (203) - 15 games
I was just about to sharpen my pitchfork @theDJR, but since itâs cool with âPipâ, we instead pop the top off a cold Guinness Extra Stout and celebrate Eloise Ashley-(âHanging with Msâ)Cooperâs solid year.
VFL finals cancelled. VFLW grand final still up in the air.
More relevantly:
âAll the VFLW awards will also be announced shortly, headed by the Lambert-Pearce Medal for the competitionâs best-and-fairest, the Debbie Lee Rising Star Medal for the best first year player, the Rohenna Young Medal for the leading goalkicker, the Ann Rulton Award for the Volunteer of the Year, and the VFLW Team and Coach of the Year.â
One of those, we got jammed (especially having to put the four North players in) and had to find a spot (Pete W talked me into - buck passed!).
Like Tara Bohanna (Saints) on the bench, we had too many similar in her spot.
