I’m a Perth-based MCC member. Was invited to enter a ballot for a single GF ticket ($405) which opened and closed today. Yeah, why not. Though attending the footy on your own is a bit sad. Went to the preliminary here on Friday and actually enjoyed the game largely because I was not invested in the outcome. Changed my perspective entirely.

Just heard Neale Daniher will knock back a chance to be in Perth from the petition doing the rounds, his daughter said there are many more people who would like to get to Perth for much more important reasons and he did not want any special treatment. This guy is deadset a Legend among Legends. Go Dee’s, do it for Neale.

Not really, you get fined if you don’t get your attendance at a polling station registered, there is actually no requirement to cast a valid vote. Voting is optional in Australia.

Voting is not optional at all. You have to vote by some means, it is your choice to vote how you like, whether it be formal or informal.

Scored a ticket off the back of my MCC membership! Way back in the nosebleed section (despite the hefty price I paid for a better seat) but it’s the hottest ticket in town so I’m happy. Now, who do I hate less???
Just remember to wear blue & red, with a white scarf that can be added or removed as needed.
And keep asking for those free drinks from the winning mob.
