It does seem weird, especially when Hill seems to have basically said he would prefer to return to GWS than go to the Pies.

SEN with Bobby Hills Manager:
- Agent has spoken with McCartney, claims neither club is deeply involved at this point
- Essendon has tabled a deal including F2
- Hoping conversations to start up shortly
- Bobby is very keen to get to Essendon;
- Agent pulling on the heart strings a bit re pregnant wife (Multiple times)
- Twomey asks how Bobby would feel about going back;
- Agent feels that it’s general narrative from clubs and that it’s a stressful time
- Preference is with Essendon, no discussion re Collingwood has occurred

If they really wanted to be chaos merchants they’d just make each club do all the trading in on a club a day basis. Give each club a day over a month and on that day they get 10hours to try and pry guys out of other clubs. Pick trading live the entire time as a free for all.
