It is the same two-man leadership structure as last season, which took the Demons to a drought-breaking flag.
And fwiw, That’s the best structure, C, VC and that’s it, having 4 or 5 blokes is silly IMO.

This is the problem with this industry, everyone just copies the current premiers. First it was the leadership group, everyone copied it, now back to the traditional C, VC. Lets be more innovative, lets make everyone a Captain except for the oldest player who can be the advisor.
I’d love to find a way to turn Parish and Shiel into, Brayshaw, Dev Robertson, Wardlaw and Tsatas then we have the midfield blue collar footy requires.

If Melbourne took Parish and we took Oliver, there is every chance we would still be having this discussion because our player development and coaching are subpar compared to Melbourne’s.

Degoey will cost more than he’ll give back, he’s a 600k player + performance incentives the same as Stringer imo
Brayshaw is a no brainer for us, adds size, skill, team-first focus, midfield versatility and some maturity to our immature list

Fazza, in your absence over the last 8 months, the should have taken Oliver instead of Parish, has become an inside joke on BBlitz. Everyone knows Melbourne traded up to get in front of us, so they could take Oliver. Think of it as an update on the should have taken Cyril over Myers meme.

Smith to retire and Dunkley to step straight from his current number 5 jumper into our number 5 jumper.
One thing I will add, I didnt realise that Dunkley will be 26 before the start of next season.
With that, I dont think we should be trading a first rounder for him unless we can get something back for it which is highly unlikely.
I cannot fathom having a player like De Goey at our club.
It will be a sign of how low we have slumped.
