I actually have the opposite opinion.
We have taken the good little school boys every draft for the past 10+ years, we need more mongrel in our team.
Every premiership team has that type of player.
Degoey is an A grade flog as most on here know but he is also an A Grade mid/forward that has a personality and skill that this team has lacked for quite a while.
I look back at stringer when we recruited him there were quite a few on here, who didnt want a bar of him because of his off field issues.
People can change. And transform a team

I just don’t want him to have a bad influence on Perko.

we should 100% go after de goey. he’s been consistently good for a long time now.

DeGoey scenario has the added element that for us to get him he’d end up our highest paid player

We are already seeing likely issues with Shiel and friction with other team mates who do follow the coaches instruction and aren’t being paid close to what he is. DeGoeys unprofessionalism off field would be divisive.
I don’t think we’d do it.

He didn’t change clubs and was held responsible when no one else wanted him. When he shopped himself and didn’t get a bite, that was the slap in the face.
If De Goey gets rewarded for being a fat lazy ■■■■ who hits woman and the other players in the group see it’s just cancer.
If you think Dacry is ■■■■■■ at Shiel for not running what is the group going to think of De Goey who sits on 1 million and does ■■■■ all.

Degoey and Stringer would be a fun duo to watch.
If degoey accepted the same incentives based contract as Jake then he would be a no brainer (in more ways than one). But he won’t and I wouldn’t want him to be our highest paid player.

I’ve always thought stringer and langford should be the ones to rotate. simply because langfords forward craft is good
having stringer, langford, de goey and perkins able to rotate through mid/forward would be pretty imposing
