For better or worse heās a very similar player to Cutler, who weāve just cut, but younger.
Wouldnāt be against it as mature depth, but certainly wouldnāt be upset if we passed.
Said it a few weeks ago after they were left out of the Qualifying Final team against Collingwood and now they are both emergencies for the Grand Finalā¦
But Menegola and Parfitt from the Cats should be on our radar. Definitely worth, at the very least, a phone call to gauge any interest.

Menegola is 30, but will add experience to the list. Pity he missed the GF team
But if choice was menegola or Bowes, have to choose Bowes with draft pick comingā¦

Parfitt would be excellent for us but there may be some more permanent spots opening up in the Geelong team with potentially a few retirements imminentā¦
Parfitts a good player but is small, we really need some more size in the midfield, we may as well just play Mcgrath on ball instead if we are looking at Parfitt.

Why? Hes kicked 45 goals in 111 games. Hes a midfielder.

Whatās the Bowes deal supposed to be anyway? Surely afl wonāt sign off on pick 7 and a player moving without a better pick coming back?
Theyāve recently changed the rules to make a salary dump (ie: the new club paying the old clubās stupid contract) an acceptable trade.
Itās speculation, but if Bowes is on $1m per year for two years, and heās not getting a game at his existing clubā¦
In short, $2M = pick 7.

I think - could be wrong - played fwd a bit when he started. Dunno if heād want to do that again, of course.
Parfitt is a tough midfielder whoās a great tackler. Not a small forward, not sure heās ever been one? Think he plays high half fwd at times. Would be a good pickup, think heās quite similar to Snelling.
