Whilst you’re team isn’t as dominant at the moment as it has been, a GF opportunity is definitely deserved.
I am pleased to have made a prelim and was a genuine chance to get up as of last night. Much better than last years performance where it was over before it begun.
Tempted to stick around for another season to see where this list might end up but will happily hand it over to a more enthusiastic and committed coach.

Bad luck @Trotters, you gave the boys a good scare.
We’ll have to find a replacement for Luke McDonald, Lincoln McCarthy and possibly Ryan Burton who got injured early on in their games, but will be praying we can get back both Walsh and De Goey for the big dance to go back to back.
Will be a tough game as always against @Speedy_Gonzales, a true 50-50 game.

Marshall was one straight set shot away from getting @cafegerat to the big dance. @Speedy_Gonzales takes the win by 12 points and will take on reigning premier @Crazy_Bomber next week.

Ziebell was already being sat out for final game, getting coward punched outside a bar and ending up in hospital made any chance of that not happening done
With Dees having top 4 sewn up now I’m also worried they will rest Gawn or play 2 rucks and minimize his game time. If the latter then it impacts on both Gawn & Grundy scores. Not sure Dees will have too much incentive to win the game and play an away final vs just facing Pies at G.
But gotta be in it to win it and with some luck I might do

Disappointing to lose by so little, but disappointment and sports goes hand in hand with me. It isn’t much fun supporting Essendon, Man Utd and every professional Chicago team.
Just want to shout out @redbull for the magnificent work you have done keeping the comp alive this year, and every year. Also @DonToDeath for the assistance you provided we all appreciated it. Also, RB, I sent you a message a few months ago asking for your bank details to pay you the $10, I feel bad that this still hasn’t been sent.
Have to say that this year has been the least enjoyable for me. Apart from once or twice I never looked at the free agents, I didn’t really care. I set my team on Friday and sometimes didn’t look to see the results until Monday.
To be blunt, ‘The Bench’ sucks. If next season we continue to use it, I will have to hand over my team to another interested party. If we move to another platform I’ll certainly give that a go.
Again, this is no reflection on you RB, as you had to make a call and without you the league possibly dies but I had no enthusiasm this season and this was solely due to ‘The Bench’.

Thanks @cafegerat. I think everyone will agree The Bench has been a dud. Unfortunately we were left with limited options. I’m hoping we can find an alternate, but we are likely going to have to make some compromises. We can reconvene as the alternates become clearer.

Congrats CB and Speedy, should be a cracking GF with two cracking sides.
Last week stings even more now, would’ve scored enough to knock off all teams this week. Hopefully this isn’t a hot streak just for a month this season but can be the building blocks for a decent tilt next year!

Speedy has outscored me the last 3 weeks (with a 1780 thrown in) and he’s trying to get the underdog tag…
You don’t need luck, you’ve literally been scoring far better than me the last month, it’ll be a good even match I reckon. At worst you’re an even chance.
I’d wait and see how the team lists look on Thursday before you throw in the towel player availability wise… There’s a week off next weekend, so Gawn will be fine and I doubt many teams will rest players unless there’s some tanking shenanigans.
I’ve lost Luke McDonald, Burton and McCarthy to injuries, but hopefully gain Walsh and De Goey so hopefully can get back to a better level of scoring.
I think the key for me is Callum Mills, bloke has been underwhelming all year from his previous 100+ average and I’m worried they’ll use him as a key back again to cover McCartin. Also Dan Rioli has had his worst 3 weeks of the year in recent times. Need them both to fire.
We shall see. Your English & Marshall as utility combo is certainly a big strength.
Hopefully next season with Grundy being #1 at a new club I’ll be on par again ruck wise

Smith and Cameron going out balanced or in actual fact improved by Walsh and DeGoey back in, huge blow! that’s so tough for you. McDonald is equal average with your D5 in Jordan Clark(75)so 50/50 if even in your best team, one of Clark or McDonald you’d have benched.
You are still projecting higher with your team, albeit you still have Cameron picked. If it ends up Toby McLean fwd in his place projections will close up but you will still be expected favourite by about 10pts
The bench will be predicting a close one.
