2023 FF Original Discussion Thread

Brodie Kemp has replaced Eric Hipwood in @Awesome_Scotty’s selected side as Hipwood should’ve been delisted before the round started. Remainder of changes to be made after Ade-Coll starts.

@Alber_Goodthur: Bench uses the last 12 months for predicted scores so here is one for our game using your current form: 1353 vs. 1407. Barring bad luck, I think it’ll decided in the final game again.

Struggling to feel that enthused about this round post Comben. Still numb.
Hopefully he doesn’t end up another Lee Walker - who was a promising Collingwood KPP player cut down by 3x ACLs and multiple stress injuries. Its a damn shame as based on what I saw last year, Comben was tracking ahead of Mitch Lewis at a similar age.

If any AFL player deserved some luck it was Comben - since he started NAB League: tibia fracture, patella dislocation x2, back stress fracture, leg stress fracture, collarbone fracture, played several match-winning roles at the start of last year but Noble refused to play him, surgery to remove plates/screws from the previous leg fractures when a spot opened up, now what looked like a tib-fib fracture (hopefully without a compound fracture).

Very conflicted by this round so far some genuinely sensational scores from a couple of lads, then the likes of McGovern and McCartin land in the 30s while Lobb floundered in the 40s.

This backline is driving me crazy!

I’m ok if Hipwood stays in his side instead of Kemp………….

Not sure you should be disadvantaged over that. Should have been a zero.

Another week. Another Geelong late change. Tuohy out this week

Bummer!

Bowes :skull:

I missed what happened to him, I got told by my mate at half time that they used their sub early but I had not heard anything about it.

Bizarre. Finished with the exact same score in both leagues!!

calling myself out for a warning. self imposed. it was meant to be an easy week with a week iff between my old and new job! but the old one had me working like crazy this past week plus had the nephew for the week and dog sitting! all the things but will be better the rest of the season!

Should’ve started Day!

Condolences, @Jefferson . Obviously a margin that close comes down to small shifts in luck , or otherwise.

A very important win for us because all we can do is grab whatever points we can now, and hope for more options at the selection table - and better form from quite a few players - as the season rolls on.

The injury niggles to Zorko and Rich will hopefully open the door for Lyons to get a start. No idea what Carlton will do with Kennedy. And North are a total basket case, who knows if Powell and Tucker will cop it for an abysmal outing against Melbourne. Selection will be interesting come Thursday night.

Considering I’ve played the last 2 weeks one player short with no Nankervis and De Koning, I’ll take it.

I’d like to LTI Heath Chapman (Freo) thanks. 6-8 week hammy says Longmuir.

FAs have been processed.

Not that it mattered…
But I didn’t realise Drury was on FAs.
We welcome back Zane Trew though. That old chestnut…

Edit…
@Dunlop
Can you please check the LTIs. I think some coaches are using ones from a few weeks ago and I can’t quite find the post about it.
