I hoped Sanders would last till 5 but not broken hearted he did not as I was certain I would get the option to draft a top class kid.

I was tossing up Wilson v Windsor. I am not sure that I chose the better player but Wilson did score 97 I believe yesterday so that put him up my draft board. Plus I can kill 2 birds with one stone and watch him and Mattaes Phillipou hopefully in the same game quite a bit.

You’re pick is up.

I was weighing up Wilson and Windsor and 6 and was very nervous I’d get neither trading back to 9!

Thought it would be Wilson I’d end with if i got lucky

I assumed I’d be taking McKercher, but I never really wanted to, as I picked up Wardlaw with my first pick last year.
I don’t know if that’s a stupid reason or not, but the numbers for Sanders weren’t that different, and he was AA captain, and he seems ready to go which is nice.

Happy that the next coach got a nice surprise.

Yep…
Erm…
Give me an hour.

I am seriously under prepared for this draft.

Welcome to the world of running a comp! Draft research seems to fall to the wayside for the early picks.

I get the reasoning, I’m somewhat mindful of having to many from the same team.
I weirdly had to many Essendon players by coincidence last season, every down game we had my team dwindled

yeah.
Also doesn’t help that I have no idea who Jake Rogers. Ethan Read completely threw me off as well.

Easily the least prepared I’ve been for a draft, ever.
Some of it’s me. lol. I’ve been out of action for the last month and my memory/patience is kind of shot.
Pretty sure I shouldn’t have traded Goater…is that who I traded?
Anyway…
Only got the annual footy record last week.
Had my first look at the hard copy of available players less than two hours ago (not having a go, everyone’s been great), and I’m completely lost without it.
Haven’t watched any preseason games apart from Essendon’s.
Change of website.
‘Opening Round.’
It’s worse than the first covid year…

But I’m sure most others have similar issues.

That’s far more than I’ve done.
And usually I have a ‘soft list’ of twenty or so by November.

I only did that this morning and it was a soft list of 5, then had to go through the pre-season scores (haven’t watched any of the games at all).

Definitely the least prepared I’ve ever been.

How on earth did Walter make it to pick 13?

I was so keen on another player, but I can get him at my next pick.
Jed Walter was too hard to pass up.

I do have some injuries in my forward line.
Dylan Moore is out for a while, so is Walter and Oscar Allen is a small chance for round one (opening round, whichever one he plays in).

I would have picked Walter if he made it to #14

Can someone remind me what the breakup of scoring players is by position? Eg. 5 back, 7 mids, 5 forwards, 1 ruck.

Damn you @Jefferson Sexton was next on my shopping list

Yep.
It’s 5 defenders, 7 midfielders, 5 forwards and 1 ruckman.
Four bench players of any position.
You will have a list of 30.
There are no LTIs so any injured players are held within the 30.

Slow down you…lovely people…

Was hoping for Leake to make it to my next pick. Not sure if he will get many games this season.
