2023 trade talk (Part 3)

Expect Brad wont have an issue attracking players to Essendon

Brad must be loving it big club, lots of resources and cashed up to the eye balls

Yeah its very strange. Probably the best ruckman of the past decade, fills a significant hole in our list, based on form/ fitness could go round for another year or two, will be a great teacher of the craft… for the little $$$ it will cost, its well worth it

2021 doesn’t count?

Why is Melbourne willing to let a top 5 player in the AFL go?
Sure, he is on plenty… but they dont have issues with the cap?
Sure, they will get a some picks in return… but why the ■■■■ would you let a player like that go when you sre in the window???

They must have doubts about his next 5 years… maybe the rumours were true…

I can only imagine the kind of draft capital we’d need to give up to land Oliver. I really don’t think we’re anywhere near close enough to contending to justify capping the future like that

good HUNGARIAN boy.

get some chicken paprikash and gombotz into ya

The only reason I can see Melbourne actually wanting to part ways with Oliver is if this alleged foot tattoo he did on himself said “I love drugs, lots” (or so he thought) But he was so high he accidentally wrote “I love Dons, lots”

Oliver has them covered. Presence is the key and Oliver has a Rasputin like magnetism. It’s the wild eyes

It’s not about contending.

It’s about toughening us up, with the best contested player in the league.

It will make the likes of Hobbs, Caldwell, Tsatas and Perkins walk much taller, to know they have that support at the around ground stoppages.

Trade Radio on Oliver

  • still talking about how Melbourne hasn’t said anything on it and the importance of noting this if it was complete rubbish. Not one thing said. Easy to nip it in the butt if there was nothing going on behind the scenes at all, but they have said nothing.

Goldstien will take us to the promised land just like Johnny Barnes in 2000

Also said that clubs may have been aware of this for weeks.

Some of the potential moves with us, buying a pick and Shiel make a lot more sense.

It certainly does help bring some clarity to those moves being made that’s for sure. Whether it can be pulled off is a different question haha

There’s also the rumour of each of our players getting a pair of Oliver Boots.

It’s no less fanciful than us trading for Oliver.
