Cornes is right. Geelong are the absolute pits to deal with. Offer up terrible deals to get players in, and want the world for players who wouldn’t even get a game for us
Interesting that the message from both Essendon and Saints is that Essendon think Shiel is a required player.
We have speculated that Saints have shut the trade down after Shiel’s injury. But maybe it’s actually Essendon who have shut it down
If we can extract any value for Shiel we should be offloading him and taking the pick to Port for Wines.
Of course it’s Essendon who have shut it down. Pulling the pin on a “required player” because he has a 4 week injury in the off season is stupidity.

When Melbourne then said he’s not for trade, immediately the Bombers came out and put an end to the Shiel rumours.

I think this is different, as BZT has formally asked for a trade, while Shiel hasn’t. You listen to SOS and he implies that he inquired, but Dodoro shut it dow
Dodoro has also said that Shiel will be at Essendon next year
There’ll be a FA or two today.
And then basically nothing until Wednesday. Because it’s all stage managed for the televised frantic finish.
