Too good @Allblack

Awful round of injuries and subs finally caught up with me.

Well done, MB.

Thanks Wim, we probably got you guys on an off day. There was a little glint in the eyes of the boys at training all last week. We rose to the occasion of our derby/grudge match and saluted for the first time in 2024.

Congrats , Craze. Much too good for us.

I really really need Powell to regain his midfield eligibility asap in order to have a chance at not being one short. And Ward might be close to returning.

And I missed the fact that Marchbank had somehow picked up a back injury whilst out with concussion (wtf!?) until after the FA lodgement so no options in defence either. Not sure if one more game will allow Comben to become a backman , hopefully so.

Correct Weight.

Fixture updated.

Ladder updated.

Richmond and Melbourne players have the bye this upcoming round.
I’ll need another volunteer to cross check scores for this round.

I should be able to get them up by the Sunday night this week. Things have calmed down somewhat.

Jesus @redbull … I’ll take your Sheezel and Hayden Young centuries but Baily Scott115 , Jake Waterman 148, Ben Keyes 100, Sam Flanders 125…

I thought I was going to win until Sunday

How are the bye scores done again?

I actually think my bye players are over scored.
Grundy’s 5 game average is 91.4 but he was given a fair bit more than that 118.

Maynard’s 5 game average is 78.8 and given 99 .
Braeden Campbell is averaging 54.2 and given 74.

I suspect it is not that simple but if it is then I think the Tigers win the derby by 3 points. I have not checked any other bye player scores.

I think it goes by their opening round scores?

edit: lol, just read the detail. I would love to steal the win, but I don’t think it’s happening!

These early bye rounds are more to do with what they scored in that bullshit Opening Round thing they did.
Because we didn’t count that round, we didn’t want those scores to go to waste.

The midseason bye rounds are where we just use the season average. 5 game average is not going to be used. It was great that Dunlop did it, but it’s far too much effort and checking to be replicated.

So my aim is to just go through each fixture of that round, click on the player and use the average score that is on the website for those particular bye scores.

Then add the numbers into a spreadsheet and let it do the calculating for me.

Then either cross check against whoever volunteered (if they got to it first), or wait for the cross check against my scores.

FAs have been processed.

@Awesome_Scotty got Drury’s name wrong, but it didn’t matter as someone else picked him before his pick. Had he fallen through it still would have been allowed because there is no one on the FA list with a last name that starts with ā€˜Dru’.
@Allblack named the wrong King. It didn’t matter as someone else picked him up before his pick. Had he fallen through, he still would have gotten him because there was no other free agent with the name ā€˜King’.

Just a reminder that next week’s FAs will be on the Tuesday night due to the Wednesday night game opening the round.

I also need a scoring checker / volunteer for this weekend if possible.

I’d planned on taking Bowey next week provided I didn’t get any injuries, damn it. Great pick up

I’m only getting him for his bye round score. He’s a better choice than either Frost or Liam Jones. So one of those two will be out.
JUH being out of tonight’s game forced me to look at a forward. And I may need to rely on Pickett as a forward this round depending on whether McKenzie or Walter make their team sheets.
Hopefully Dev Robertson gets a spot on the team sheet too, to give me a bit more flexibility.

I can feel I’m right on an edge where I’ll begin experiencing the injuries and droppings of youngsters.
It’s looking tougher and tougher to hold onto my first three picks (Schoenmakers, Phillips and Walter).

I’ll be one short in the midfield, again.
And I’ve been very lucky with injuries and suspensions and I’m Still rubbish. lol.

I suspect Sholl will be sub. But assuming he gets some sort of game time, we may have a full team!

It’s amazing how many frustrating angles this game can have, lol. Paddy Dow should be right to play his first game of the season, but guess what? Sandringham have a bye! So despite St Kilda being atrocious last night , he’s probably still at least two weeks away from being a midfield option for us.

And I haven’t dared to look ahead at Will Day, but I won’t be shocked if Box Hill have a bye next week when he’s pencilled in to resume.

I’ve held on to Cook for a while.
A few times in his career he’d be a travelling emergency. That in itself is bad because they don’t fly him back to play SANFL when this happens. He doesn’t play at any level and then have a bye the next week. After that, he’s usually a non selection for a few weeks, so it’s a path to holding him whilst developing. Wouldn’t be able to do it with current rules.

My worst injury experience was with Dayne Beams and under the old LTI rules. I LTI’ed him. he came back early and scored close to a tonne, but I couldn’t select him. When he cleared our LTI rules, I selected him and he smashed the start of the game. On target for a tonne. Then got injured. Out for the season LTI.
