Hey @Blummers32 if I emergency loophole a player and leave an empty spot on the field (rather than a non playing player) do I get the score? (This is what Iām understanding from the context of your post above but I donāt think the AFL website will do this automatically so I just want to check).

Correct. If thereās an empty spot, AFL Fantasy doesnāt consider it a 0 and doesnāt use bench replacement.
So I have to go through, check for empty spots and add the bench score to the team manually.
It is within our rules to use the loophole. I encourage it to be used as often as possible as there are very few āpoints of differenceā plays that can be done in our comp. There were restrictions previously because you could only do 30 changes to your list through the year, but that rule was scrapped meaning you could take a chance every week if you wanted. I tried it from round 5 onwards, but only benefitted 3 or 4 times through the season.

A few notesā¦
- @Split_Infinity beat me to both McCreery and Lewis Young. So I got my second choice defender (Macpherson) who is an emergency this week. Luckily, I also got McCartinā¦
- Happy with Cooper Lord. Heās shown he can score 100s at VFL level and even though heās on the extended bench, he should be in the 23 given the social media surrounding his debut. Iām just not sure whether he gets names as sub. It doesnāt help that Carlton play the last game of the round either.
- Oh yeah, Jack Darling gets a farewell list spot. Unlikely to even be named on the bench.

My team is going to be a bit of a mess through the weekend.
Iām loopholing McCartin tonight.
If he comes good, I can drop Joyce for Darling.
If he doesnāt, then Joyce comes into the 18 and I drop Milera for Darling.
Iām also loopholing Brad Close on Saturday night.
If he comes good, I can drag McNeil or Curtis out of the 18.
If he doesnāt, I stick with McNeil and Curtis.
There is also an opportunity to go with Ralphsmith or debut Lord, but I want to see how @Allblack goes through to Saturday night as to whether I take that gamble as he could end up being a sub.
I donāt think my opponent is taking me seriouslyā¦

Not that it will affect this result, but I need to get better at loopholing (by which I mean knowing what Iām doing at all in any way) next year, because Iād like to think the Tigers will be ready for finals again.
Iām down 190 with a +1 player to come.
So Iām expecting to be eliminated.
Iām rolling the dice and putting Lord into the 18.
Need to hope that LDU, Baker and Vlastuin severely under perform just to hav a chance.
I am down about 140.
Itās half of Cam Mackenzie and Dylan Moore as well as Cooper Lord & Oscar Allen vs half of Vlastuin as well as Liam Ryan.
I also have 30 minutes to decide to loophole Ralphsmith and take whatever he gives me (27 to halftime) or gamble on Lord who hasnāt been named as a sub.
An hour ago, I was expecting to be eliminated horribly. Now Iām back in it.

I missed my chance. Just noticed Ralphsmith is on 50+ at halftime. Went to sub him in and the Carlton game has just begun.

It looks like the Ralphsmith error wonāt hurt me too much as Lord has 31 to this point which is pretty good for a first game. He is likely to be subbed out though.
I need Oscar Allen to lift.
But itās more likely that I lose than win this game.
Disappointing. After getting 6 midfielders score 80+ last week to follow it up with only 1 midfielder scoring 60+ this week.
Gaff not subbed but the lead down to 24 as Young springs to life.

Disappointing end to the season.
Lewis Young nearly brought me back and Brennan Cox is in the bad booksā¦ but going out on a 1460ā¦ I canāt really complain.

Cracking season from your team and they look strong into next year too. Just unlucky to run into my Bradbury like finish. Dan Houston likely done for the year but hopefully Baker back next week. My scores are all over the joint but somehow we survive.
