AFL Fantasy just opened too.
Looks like they’re doing the flexible spot option.

Will play around with it over the next few weeks.
I’ll need to ‘regenerate’ the league anyway because I forgot to get a record of team lists before the website removed access.

We’re preparing for the upcoming season.

I think I regenerated but it’s still uncertain whether we continue using AFL Fantasy. Keeper are yet to give me a chance to test their setup so we’ll give them some time.

If you’ve received an email about your AFL Fantasy team, please let me know. I’m not sure if you can see the competition when logging into AFL Fantasy.

It seems AFL Fantasy are allowing some customisation (bye round scoring, trading during the draft, injury replacement, etc) but we’re still working our way through some stuff with it so bare with us.

The roster thread has been updated with snapshots just incase something goes wrong.

If you can get onto AFL Fantasy, the draft order is yet to be updated so ignore it.
I still have no idea how to set keepers.

Why is it taking us the better part of a day to pick picks we’ve already picked?

We really need to think about ways to move this along. R1 will have started by the time this draft finishes at this rate.

I reckon a WhatsApp group for essential commish comms is worth considering. Coaches could then be individually notified when it’s their selection by whoever took the previous pick.

I think BBFFL#2 had a similar system using text messages, and their draft alway motors along at a good rate.

At the very least coaches should use the auto-pick function when they are unable to monitor the draft, or are likely to have pick during sleep hours.

I’ve PM’ed CB.
He just hasn’t been around for 12 hours.
MB was away for 12 hours too.
Otherwise, we’d probably be up to live picks by now.

The auto pick function looks like it’ll work.
My two picks are set that way.
I just don’t know if it’ll ask for confirmation before it takes the pick. We’ll see when my picks turn up.

I’m hesitant to tell everyone to turn on auto pick, because it’ll probably just go nuts and select the whole draft in half a day and we’d be right back to the beginning of the draft.

Once we actually get to live picks it should move far quicker (it can’t go any slower).
And hopefully coaches use the queue feature so it’ll speed things up even more.
Also we can reduce the time limit earlier than round 6.

MB was away for 12 hours too.

I checked before I went to work about 7:30am, not my pick. I checked when I had my first opportunity to do so at about 2:00pm, might have even been about 12-12:30 and I took my pick straight away.

I’ve told you a million times…Don’t exaggerate!

I take your point. It was the only day this week I have been away from my computer ie. working (of course) Murphy’s Law strikes again!

I just looked at last read on your Blitz Profile.
That could be buggy though.

Most likely we’ve just caught people between work breaks.

I’ve PM’d those after CBs picks who haven’t been on Blitz the last few hours to remind them to keep an eye out on AFL Fantasy.
