Nah, never. Still good to see what’s going on with their preparation. I have no doubt this USA camp is a good thing and is representative of the shift in standards and professionalism we’re wanting to see. Yes, results on field not there yet, but that’s not because of the Exos fitness regime.
Other clubs and players have taken Essendon’s lead and are also pursuing a USA style fitness program. Eg: Nick Daicos and the Hawks.
Take the little wins and signs of progress where we can.
The off season Arizona style training camp was started by Collingwood I think about 15 years ago but clubs stopped doing it for 6/7 years until recently. These elite outsourced camps have come back on the agenda in a more prominent way the last 24 months.
Fair enough. I’m so incredibly jaded by this club and all the false dawns and never knowing what following a good club feels like in my adult life. But yeah you’re right, probably serves no purpose lamenting that so often when others are still keen.
We’re all in the same boat and choose to express differently but for mine the constant negativity on here really wouldn’t be doing favours to others that are struggling with ACTUAL problems in real life - that’s why I think it gets a bit over the top when it’s just a footy club sometimes
