Tom Scully was the last formula based pre-first round priority pick, in 2009.
The suns got Rowell, north have “only” been given end of first round picks. Personal opinion, obviously, but I’d guess the eagles would get something more like north did, end of first round picks, some of which are contingent and therefore highly incentivised to trade.
Yeah I think it’s far more likely that they get a compo pick for Allen but it’ll be 4 years in a row with bottom 3 finishes, wouldn’t surprise me at all for them to be gifted something.
Yeah, but I think its more likely to be second round compo, additional list spots, or access to pre-select mature aged players. These are generally the first compensation approaches.
Yep you’re most likely right but overall my point still stands - expect WCE to secure an additional pick before our first (most likely through Allen leaving as a FA), plus maybe something extra along the way from the AFL.
Didn’t they win a flag not so long ago? That same team made an another GF and lost didn’t they? And they won another flag in 2006. They’re not getting a priority pick I wouldn’t have thought.
