What I like about next year’s crop is there’s a diverse mix of player types and positions at the top end. It’s why I’m still such a fan of the Melbourne death ride for next year.
Lol love the profile pic mate, Chris-topher!
Thats a all time great name.
If he played for us no doubt he would go missing.
I missed that one.
Actually I thought that was the intended joke…
Shooting blanks
I have us finishing 14th, Melbourne finishing 15th and st. Kilda finishing 12th from my ladder predictor.
Picks 4,5, 22, and 25 in this year’s draft would be a cracking draft hand. If we got first compo from Draper it would be 4,5,6,22 and 25. Would be similar to Richmonds draft hand without losing all our players.
Has me optimistic in the medium term.
Don’t forget second rounders are apparently more valuable this trade given the change in academy points etc. So those 2 seconds could get us another first.
What number pick do we get for Parish?
He’s 28 in July. Contracted until 2029.
I’d happily trade him if both Hobbs and Tsatas came on this year.
Not as easy as it sounds but hypothetically, if the above played out I’d take a pick in the 20’s.
I’m tipping a Melbourne v St Kilda Grand Final and Essendon finishing 8th (on percentage) and flogged 1st week.
Trade 4 and 6 for Reid.
Take 5 to the draft.
This is the most Essington outcome, so it is therefore the most likely one.
Reid still contracted for 2026. You’d need 4,5 and 6 for WC to even consider it.
Depends on how good a year he has this year.
4,5 and 6 would be the biggest draft haul ever given up for a player.
Two of those picks and a player would get the deal done imo.
Only the really dedicated nuffies are watching draft videos at this time of year - congrats to those that are almost as degenerate as I am.
Possibly Fred’s best performance of the 2024 Champs series. His clean hands, creative and attacking decision making and ability to execute his skills at a high level were all on show here.
