AFL Fantasy have responded to my query.
There is no capacity for the commissioner to change any picks during the live draft.
Which means any errors need to be sorted after the draft or between coaches during the draft.
They’ve offered to leave it as it is and proceed as is.
They’ve also offered to delete the league, regenerate it again and start afresh. This means anyone who has done a ‘pre-draft list’ on AFL Fantasy will lose that info. I’ll need to sort out keepers again and do the draft order again.
If we do this, I’ll probably switch it to a commissioner done draft so I enter the picks as we go and still run it here on Blitz.
@redbull. I think you did it this way for the other competition last year.
I’m leaning towards letting it go as is, doing the draft here on Blitz and coaches update the AFL Fantasy side of things as we go for the time being. It looks like it’ll let you trade players, which might be able to be done by coaches as we go.
I’ve extended the time between picks on AFL Fantasy to 24 hours as I have no idea what it’ll do when the time expires.
I’m trying to see if there is any way to get pick for pick trades to be done during a live draft, but the odds are it won’t let you do that. We’ll see how AFL Fantasy Help Desk respond to this.
It’s useless if the only way trades can be done is if you add a player to it. And you can’t find the other team’s draft pick when you’re proposing a trade.
There’s still a chance that regenerating the league and starting afresh is the best option to do. If we do this, I can probably sort this all out tomorrow morning whilst we continue the draft here.
There’s no way I’ll do it by tonight so a decision doesn’t need to be made right now.
Great features have been added. But difficult to actually use.
