The week got the better of me and I missed the team changes.
I think my incompetence is going to contribute to my first loss of the season.

Powell, Roberts and now Sinclair. Three of my backline guns out in consecutive weeks with long term injuries. Thatās just about my shot at a 2026 flag all gone.

Agree. The winner will be the team that can keep their core players injury free.
Iāve had heaps injuries each week but nothing significant I couldnāt cover until the last fortnight.
Noaās team has been decimated but theyāre all spuds anyway.

My win loss flatters me. Still lack the pigs to get the 1500s required. Itās nice to be winning more than losing though and still young!

Iām confused.
I have Gawn and Grundy, and I didnāt hear a peep from contenders.
Apparently the top four all have guaranteed ton rucks and utilities.
I have Jackson and Cameron so donāt feel the need to give up what youāre possibly wanting to get a third ruck.
I also felt any chance of me being a contender died when I lost Sinclair, Daniels and now Butters. Plus managing the in and out of regular high scorers Short, Powell, Roberts and Setterfield made this season a challenge.
Iām not calling anyone out, but Iāve seen 60ās in decent teamās utilities.
Just seems odd. But itās fine.
Is it possible people just donāt want to trade or more specifically donāt want to trade with you?

Hard to say, since nobody even inquired. Iām just saying that if I was in contention and saw an immediate 50-70 point upgrade from someone who wasnāt in contentionā¦Iād ask the question.
I donāt know why people wouldnāt want to trade with me. I havenāt been in the league long enough to screw anyone. If anything they should be trying to fleece the noob.

ā ā ā ā Iāve had a strange season. 7th highest scoring team (1 point off 6th) but nowhere near a finals spot. Scoring average has improved a lot so good signs for future years hopefully!

Iām the opposite. Over achieving - not taking the bait for a aging ruck because I am nowhere near the top few this year.

6th best scoring team and in mothballs. Started to get some 1400+ totals of late too. A bit like the Cats in 1993, left the run far too late!
