Just watched the speech of Welsh, nothing special but liked the acknowledgement of Dean Solomon. One thing I found interesting was people got out of their seats to give him a round of applause. Parish just sat there and looked around and finally came to the conclusion that he should also get up and acknowledge. Just points to a senior player who has no idea of the sacrifices people make for him. You can think I am being harsh but I see these behaviour as being selfish and not what we want. Especially when they accumulate over time.

One thing that is starting to bother me is naming the Runner-Up medals and Third-place medals. FFS. Happening at every club, and all the social posts, just tell me who won, not who got the Danny Dickfos Medal for finishing 7th.

Got 9/10 right, surprised Farrow made it over Pidge. Bit sad.
It was pretty cringe to be honest. The bloke took the role as coach coz he thought he’d get the permanent gig from his mate. It meant a few other coaches that had been putting in the hard yards as assistants for years left and was an error I think.
Honestly the speeches from Welsh and McVeigh felt like a 21st or wedding, including the Solly carry on and making people stand to applaud. It felt really amatuer to me.
I don’t blame Parish. I was there in the room and there was a heartfelt round of applause and then someone stood up and it was very slow to catch on, and then we were all looking at each other like “ok I guess all have to get up”.

Both Welsh and McVeigh mentioned some hard decisions will be made. This gives me the inclination that there is some more big news soon - possibly players during trade period.

Look, I am not trying to wind you up but Elite and Special? Really. He is a great player in an all time terrible Essendon team. Maybe he wins a Brownlow at Hawthorn. I will happily stand corrected.

Yep thats our biggest issue right there. Say what you want about all the high draft picks whom have become whom they should have been with us but if you can’t look to your leaders and be driven by them how can we expect any kid to reach their potential.
Yep, just another bad repercussion of not trading him last year, we let him get equal with these actual legends of our club.
