My best guess is this sums up Zac’s feelings. If we had any other decent footballers on our list during his prime years he never would have needed to look elsewhere.

As club captain and a leader he also has role to play in driving standards and teaching the kids but sadly that wasn’t his forte.
Not everyone is built to do that unfortunately

Thrilled at our youth, but that’s a terrible b&f top 10.
Lots of injuries obviously didn’t help.
With Zach leaving we have zero A graders. Hopefully the kids fulfill their potential.
hey @stallion thought of a couple more during the night.

That is a disgusting graphic.

Embarrassing, he is in that photo. He wouldn’t make the top 15players to have played at Essendon. Shows how ■■■■ we are and have been.

two ties, just to make sure?
Well done Zac, dead set champ of the club

That appears to be changing with Spike and Horse.

I must admit I have zero interest watching other clubs B&F’s and I probably say the same every year but we seem very amateurish in our media work, coverage and promotion of events like this.
Is it due to money constraints or other reasons?
Perhaps I’ve just got higher expectations from a so called professional entity so might try and catch the awards from a couple of other clubs. Perhaps it’s the norm

He was drafted for leadership. Not footballing.
Dunno, feels about right to me. Up there with the least exciting captains in the league.
What criteria/method are we using to score the crichton now? Based on those totals we can’t be using that old ‘5 different coaches give every player a rating out of 5, every game’ thing where you can get 25 points per game you played.

Underrated comment. It’s a stain on Hutchison and Reynolds to mention this snake in the same breath.

Well done to Zach Reid. Amazing he played every game this year and to finish top 6 in the Crichton is honestly beyond my wildest expectations. Really happy for him. Another big pre-season ahead - he is going to be an important structural piece as we rise under McNeigh.

Just watched the speeches. Standing O for Solly seems a bit over the top to me. Appreciate he stepped in and did the best he could but come on.
