We have all coaching positions filled for 2026.
As previously noted, @jstella2 is our first new coach, and he has elected to take over the Chiswick Cockatoos (formerly coached by @You_Shall_Be_Smoten ).
@Marty_Funkhouser will also be joining us, and he will be taking over Bomber Pride 32 (formerly coached by @Blummers32 ).
@jstella2 has elected to continue with the team name Chiswick Cockatoos. @Marty_Funkhouser, if you have a preferred team name, PM me.

@redbull has bought to my attention that there is another platform that looks like a great fit for our competition. BBFFL#2 will be running their comp there, and from what I can see, it looks to have all the functionality we need to run this comp. Certainly more than the AFLās offering.
Iāve been having some teething options with AFL FF, and their support service is shizen too. Iām inclined to make the move.
If thereās any comments, or other platform suggestions Iām happy to discuss and consider before moving platforms.

Iām also working through a draft order, and updating it with last yearās and this yearās trades. Will have this posted in the next couple of days.

I have had a very quick look over it and I think it looks pretty good. It looks like it will give you pretty customisable options all the way through and the fact that they look like they take on board a lot of suggestions means it looks to me that āThis is the way!ā

The guy behind it set up the Ultimate Footy platform originally. It looks like he has taken that model and enhanced it. From a personal perspective some of the bye scoring options and customisation of free agency is a clear win. Very different to the AFL keeper platform which is a take it or leave it option.

Correction, Marty_Funkhouser is a non-starter. We still have an open spot for a prospective coach.
Iām fine with either platform.
Does either offer the ability to change pick times part way through a draft as a way to gain back some time if we start off slow?
eg normal time limit for first 5 rounds, time halved for last 5 rounds etc

Moving across to Keeper Fantasy is a no-brainer, so Iāve sent out some PMs requesting info from each coach so I can set it up and have invites sent out. Please reply when you get the opportunity.

I know Keeper Fantasy allows you to pause drafting. I will have a look but I think it will enable picking time to change.
Edit - looks like you can just update the draft settings to amend the time per pick at any stage.

Are we following last yearās pattern re Long term injuries - ie no such thing , you just carry them in your 30 , - and replacements?
Sounds like Iāve lost Tom Green for the year, and Will Day for at least half of it. Not an ideal beginning 
I was just going through my team and having Martin and Draper down to begin will make my drafting interesting
I think some of the later rounds are a bit skewy (maybe from Rd 6) unless youāve already taken off picks that canāt be used (i.e I think I should have a R10 pick at 164, but this would be my 11th selection.
Yes, thatās right. Iāve removed picks that wonāt be used. A couple of coaches finish quite early, while others need top up picks.
