I think I was 8th and ballsed my way into the final. This comp is pretty even.

Would it be better to run the mini draft on Blitz and then allocate players before doing the draft? All it will take is one person accidentally taking an open pool player and then we have to keep making adjustments.
Iām not fussed on how the order is determined for the mini draft, but agree it should be reverse snake.

Probably the main question I have is if we have a 2 round mini draft is keepers still 20 (with effectively an 8 round regular draft) or would they be 18/19
suggesting either 19 or 20 would be my preference
That sounds like an easier option maybe then messing around with draft orders for different rounds
I think if we do the mini draft then submit 20 keepers and itās then the cleanest way of it being done. Probably means anyone drafted in mini draft has to be kept so that people arenāt blocked out by a hoarding selection

Iād stick with the 20 keepers everyone has locked in, then mini draft, then 8 rounds / fill your squads. I think it might add an extra dose of positional-calculating to the mindraft, as youāll then only have 8 picks to balance the squad.

Iāve hit a little admin hurdle that requires Keeper Fantasy support. Theyāve been super responsive so far, so hopefully we get a reply quickly. Iāll get the draft underway as soon as this is sorted.

Do we know how many of the remaining 16 coaches left are in different time zones now?
Looks like I officially finished 3rd last season, so thatād mean I have picks 14 and 19 in the Mini. Thatāll be an interesting situation in terms of list management.
Trotters might hold us up until daylight savings is overā¦

Hey all,
After being part of this comp since 2008, and Iām sitting out, and I wanted to explain why rather than just disappearing.
To the Dill - I do want to acknowledge youāve taken on a big job and I appreciate the effort that goes into running this thing. No hard feelings personally.
That said, the sign-up process this year was genuinely most confusing in all my years doing this. I was on holiday with limited internet access, and at 3am Saturday night/Sunday morning I spent over an hour trying to complete registration ā only to find there were no squads available to even select keepers from. Iād already provided my name and email, but it turned out a last name was required to send the invite (an alternate or fake name couldāve have been utilised), which created an unnecessary bottleneck before you even got to the keeper selection bottleneck. I checked daily for an invite as well in the mornings. Two hurdles before youāre even at the starting line.
Because of that, Iāve missed the deadline, and unfortunately Iām out for 2025.
I genuinely hope the comp runs smoothly and Iāll be watching from the sidelines. Maybe Iāll be back next season with a smoother on-ramp. Good luck to everyone involved ā go Dons!

It does not appear that the mini draft is snaking or reverse snaking to me.
EDIT My apologies it looks like it is reverse snaking now.
It is if you look at results tab of draft portal. @Windy_Dill what is the go with these picks and keepers, are they on top of original (i.e. we will have 22 pre draft), or are we selecting again to bring down to 20?
Everyone still has 20 keepers and 10 draft selections, including the mini draft (which is effectively the first two rounds of the regular draft).

I thought it was the easiest and most straight forward in the last 20 years. And selecting keepers was mint. Just ticked a box. Loved it.
