Before kids i would watch about 55-60 games of the WC. The last WC I could do that was 2018, ended up with jet-lag despite not leaving the city, especially as Russia has something like 9 different time zones. Some games were on at 9pm, others at 5am.
Loved doing that, best was 2002, all the games at 7pm, 9pm or thereabouts.
Think our games have a good times zone, one game is 9am on sunday morning. Perfect

There was a meme with the wrestling commentator calling the goals (the one who wears a hat, not sure if still alive), was very funny

Funny story time
Was watching that game in Amalfi outside a restaurant. About 100 people gathered around watching and had two cops next to me.
Watching the game and we hear this loud thump, few of us turn around and this lady has walked straight in to a glass door and is holding her head. I ■■■■ myself laughing, wife is telling me off saying “don’t laugh, the cops are right here”.
I turn to the cops and they have their heads buried in their hands trying to hide their laughter.

Christian Erikson collapsed in a friendly. Reportly up and about on the way to hospitals for a check. But he simply must retire from football now.

Not excited as much for world cup this year, very hard to be when it’s hosted by countries that call it soccer. And the stadiums are all NFL grounds
India would be a better host, yes it’s hot there but it’s hot in Florida too and Brazil when they hosted the tournament.
They have more passion for football in India than America & Canada. And their main sport is cricket.
Americans have no interest in English sports whatsoever despite them speaking our language and sharing our legal systems.
Awkward bunch same for Canada too in some ways
Would love to see Iran strike a purple patch and end up knocking out the US.
