4 red cards?
At least a few games will be played in Estradio Azteca!
What sort of cooked country thatās hosting a World Cup hasnāt prepared for the sort of scenario where women of the key officials are from elsewhere in the world?
Incredibly embarrassing.
POSSIBLE line-up versus Turkiye:
| GK | Mathew Ryan |
|---|---|
| CB | Herrington, John Souttar, Circati |
| WM | Bos, Jackson Irvine (C) |
| CM | Italiano, Hrustic |
| AM | Irankunda, TourƩ |
| ST | Aiden OāNeill |
8 red cards, 4 players and 4 coaches from Brazil
Iām struggling to get enthusiastic about this tournament. Hope it changes once it starts.
Same, with Arsenals season only ending 11 days ago it feels like thereās been no time in between.
Got a few pubs booked for the England games here so will feel more real soon, odd build up for sure.
Dont mind the Poms getting to the quarters so the vibes are good for longer here.
No group is an easy group for Australia.
But there is a decent chance.
All the teams are pretty even
USA 16th
Turkiye 22nd
Australia 27th
Paraguay 40th
Itās going to be fascinating to see just how corrupt the refereeing in the US matches are.
Their first match, especially.
Wonder what sort of āfraternityā there is amongst the Refs? Wouldnāt particularly mind seeing the USA team screwed over by some contentious decisions.
Did anyone see that camera crash to the ground, lucky there were no players near.
Listening to the US āpunditsā
Trophy is already thereās
The USA isnāt a great team, but they will get a boost from playing at home.
The best chance we have is to hold them at bay for 60 minutes and they start feeling the pressure to score and open themselves up.
With the 8 3rd best teams going through to the new round of 32, 3 points with a healthy GD will be enough.
We SHOULD be able to get there. Its a tough group yes, but there isnt a France, Germany or Brazil to batter us 4-0 and cook the GD
Yeh I think goal difference will be key, getting draws, sneak a win, not getting blown away, cant see us kicking too many goals.
USA should be looking confidently at the group as well, but that may increase the pressure on them as will be expected to win.
USA will finish top of group but will get kicked out in the quarters. Might fluke it to semis like Korea in 2002 but will be lucky
You mean match fixed to the semis
Itās hard to do the maths but the way I read it we will either need three draws or one win with not terrible gd to progress. Is this about right?
Thats reasonable
