I was in Chicago last weekend and the city was overrun with German & USA supporters for the warm up game @ Soldiers Field.
Seeing how much accommodation cost blew out, it vindicated my decision to get in & out if the US before the WC kicked off

Just finished watching the game as live. Fairly uninspiring opening game tbh, Mexico clearly the better team but not going for the throat even with a numerical advantage. 3 reds you might look at and think it was a spicy game, but they were just standard challenges given reds.
