Just keep naming best 22s. We don’t have a 23rd player worth playing
Why no Archer Day Wicks in this side?
b: Nguyen Mckay Rids
hb: Roberts Reid Redman
c: Duursma #Parish Fiorini
R: Blaki *Durham #Caldwell
hf: *Perkins Caddy Kako
f: Wright Langford #McGrath
int: Johnson Tsatas Clarke Unwin, Jones
#McGrath, Parish, Caldwell rotate on ball, rest forward
*Durham, Perkins, rotate as the bigger mid, Fiorinig too if required.
Wings - Fiorini, Duursma, Clarke
Johnson 7th defender/mid/fwd where reqd
Tsatas midifeld
Unwin - forward relief
Jones - relieve Talls fwd/def
I suspect Jones struggles even to relieve himself.
Well we need a tall who can play forward and back, with the 5th on the bench IMO
May, Cox, Jones, McMahon, Edwards
we have a few options
Wasn’t quite ready last season. Maybe he explodes over the preseason. I hope so
Those 5 make up a Brad Scott wet dream for a bench, especially for a rainy day!.
McKay Reid Nguyen
Redman Ridley Roberts
Fiorini McGrath Duursma
Perkins Caddy Merrett
2MP Langford Kako
Blaki Durham Caldwell
Parish Tsatas Clarke McMahon Guelfi
I think McGrath will be captain =more mid minutes, Merrett to play more half forward with less mid minutes
Hoping Langford can be a bit like Gunston and turn back the clock to 2023 to kick 50+
Blaki & 2MP to share ruck duties until Bryan is fit/Bryan & Martin add a bit to that team when they return
Hoping for a strong season from Parish - a classy mid we have forgotten how good he can be
Have a feeling we will see we why took Tsatas at pick 5 - bloke still only 21!
McMahon gets 1st crack as support for Langford/Caddy/2MP - but we have other options in Jones/Edwards/May
Defence looks solid - Prior, Johnson & Hayes will all get games at some stage
Comon Dons…!!
Nguyen Reid Hayes
McGrath Ridley Redman
Duursma Durham Fiorini
Clarke Caddy Martin
Kako May Langford
Blakiston Caldwell Roberts
Parish El-EHawli McMahon Merrett Johnson.
One can dream
That’s like a sou’wester hitting Melbourne after a day baked by a howling Northerly- refreshing.
Now list a little more settled (please no injuries!) round 1 should look something like this;-
Ridley McKay Nguyen
Redman Reid Roberts
Fiorini Caldwell Duursma
Robey Caddy Merrett
2MP May Kako
Blaki Durham McGrath(c)
Parish Sharp Clarke Prior Langford
Emerg: Perkins Tsatas Gresh Vigo
I think it’s better to do the depth chart by position (players may appear twice)
Tall Defenders: Reid, McKay, Ridley, Blakiston, Cox
Mid/Small Defenders: McGrath, Redman, Prior, Nguyen, Roberts, Johnson, Farrow, Unwin
Centre Bounce Mids: Parish, Merrett, Durham, Caldwell, Tsatas, Sharp, McGrath, Robey
Wings Utility Mids: Martin, Duursma, Fiorini, Clarke, Jones, Cox, Unwin, El Hawli
Rucks: Bryan, Visentini, Blakiston, Wright, Gerreyn
Forward Mids: Perkins, Gresham, Robey, Kako, Martin
Mid/Small Forwards: Langford, Kako, Gresham, Clarke, Guelfi, Day-Wicks
Tall Forwards: Wright, Caddy, May, McMahon, Edward’s, Jones, Gerreyn
Get Cox out of the Tall Defenders group… NOW!
Scott will go with Parish, Merrett and Setterfield as his starting midfield all year just accept it.
I really hope we don’t re list Setterfield he’ll only take mid minutes away from Tstatas and Sharp
Rd 1 - no bryan yet, no Martin
With merrett staying put and doubt McGrath moves up the field. May has a bit of work to do to get past 2mp as 2nd ruck.
Hoping for this:
McGrath McKay rids
Roberts Reid Redman
Duursma parish fiorini
Viggo merrett Caldwell
Robey caddy Durham
Kako 2mp Langford
Farrow tsatas sharp Clarke guelfi
It will be interesting to see how Gerryn shows up this pre-season. Already got past Vigo in the 2k time trial (from memory).
Tsatas out and Johnson in and that’s it.
But it’s a horribly slow forward line.
It’s really only 2mp and Langford that have no speed
Also pre draft I had johnson in and have only now put Farrow in because he’s a shiny new toy. I’m very curious to see how Johnson goes with a full preseason. He’s definitely got huge upside.
I’ll be hoping that that’s the area we concentrate on tonight, small forward, and then Huss as Cat B.
If that happens, we still have a train-on available, and maybe 2 depending on Martin outcome.
