Was good tonight didn’t panic and can hit a target the question is how do we find two or three more like him
Think we might have one in Clarke
Only defender we have that looks like he he would fit into a finals team
Got plenty of mongrel and can play footy.
Yep I think so aswell I was very big on him predraft
Should play every game.
Despite the early hype is was mildly skeptical but I’ve seen enough. He can actually play.
Yep, lacks the skills of some, but he can read the game and he can win a contest.
Like.
Really? I think he’s highly skilled, was curious if his hands matched his foot skills and they’re pretty neat too. Very very tough and loves the clinches, maybe a pace slow but if he was quick he’d have gone in the first round
Hates getting beaten. Hopefully gets 20 games this year.
Has a crack but always does silly things almost costing a free kick or 50m penalty. Also his kicking always makes me nervous. He hits the occasional ripper but just as many grubbers, a bit like Francis use to.
Much to like about Roberts. Did get caught out once putting himself in no man’s land but he’s very good in traffic, quick enough, has a bit of niggle in him , competes hard and he’ll take on some damaging kicks when too many default to safe / sideways / backwards. These sorts of players help / encourage the forwards to present at the footy because they’ll try for the kick. Play him every week unless injured.
If he is dropped for any reason other than injury, then Scott is the worse than knights
Can’t say that about too many Essendon players whereas most of the Hawthorne team do.
One of very few at the club that gives physicality back to opposition players. Must admit it was refreshing to see.
Great pickup, honest and tough. Some of our leaders should take note.
All summer ive been campaigning for him only to be told he’s had a crap pre season so Shiel should play over him.
Only for 1 game in for everyone to see what was obvious after his first game last season.
The kid can play.
We are not worthy.
Shiel has elevated his game above Myers and Heppell. He somehow manages to keep players that are in the side out of the side.
I’m with you brother…
