#21 Archie Roberts - thru 2026

I saw this today some football nuffie came up with a really good formula to decipher the best kicks in the comp and our boy is right up there.

It’s impressive considering his kicking in the vfl was a major concern of mine initially. It just shows some players are better at afl level than vfl level in certain elements, with a cleaner type of game.

Lots to like but thought his ball use was a bit scrappy today. Put it down to the conditions.

Another tick for him today. How many games, 10 or so, and he’s playing like Gary O’Donnell or Bomber Thompson down back.

Tough little bastard. Love him.

His ball use is either “wow, what a pass” or “what the actual ■■■■ was he thinking”. Nothing between.

But his attack on ball and/or player is unflinching.

Like him, but thought he was a bit sloppy today.

Great game from him today. Hard nut.

Always happens to be running through at the right time

I think the occasion got him a bit today and was against top opposition, wasn’t poor but made some errors. Will be much better for the experience.

If I’m not mistaken he did take a kick out or two. So they must trust his kicking. And in general he is a good kick. Had a poor kicking day today. But he is disciplined and doesn’t make dumb decisions

One of the younger players I find most encouraging. One of about 3 hard ■■■■■ on the list at best.

So composed and willing to take the game on we could build a backline around him and Reid and be far better off long term.
Actually a backline of Hayes Reid and roberts sit well with me

Trade him to Hawthorn

Very easy to forget he’s played about 10 games. Feels like part of the furniture.

He got that dog in him

I hope Lloyd recommends a few more late ones, a fantastic pick up.

It is actually quite ridiculous how good and tough this kid is for a second year player who hasn’t even played a dozen games.

He has no real weaknesses already.
What a gun.

Dodoros love letter to the club.

His kicking is not a strong point.

But it’s not such a flaw it detracts from what else he does. He’s tracking really well.

Great player. Tough, composed and skillful
