He was a renowned good kick as a junior and his technique is solid.
I suspect he is just adjusting to the pace of senior footy and also having to deal with the lack of targets upfield (which is more of an issue when you are an aggressive user - like he is).
They aren’t hospital passes, nor were Hepps for the most part. They just take too damn long to arrive at their destination.
Kicks that look completely fine when they’re out in space. Or would look perfectly fine on a suburban footy ground. Kicks that are successful at the junior level, and wouldn’t have raised an eyebrow in the 90s. But they often get in to trouble in the confines of today’s game.
My point is Roberts is excelling at the effort part of the game, and has some work to do on his kicking. Tsatas’ effort game is poor, as is his kicking. People are more forgiving of skill errors when they can see the player is leaving everything out on the field.
And how is your commentary around Perkins and Hobbs any different to what you consider “foamer toxicity” when people comment on Tsatas’ game?
He does not take a backward step. It’s funny how James Brayshaw said that Archie is the most quite and relaxed kid. He just can’t understand when he sees his aggression on the field and where it comes from hahaha. As the old saying goes it’s the quiet ones he needs to watch out for.
Really love him but he is a bit sloppy with the ball and hand at times. Just needs to tighten that a bit but love his defensive side and attack on the ball.
I love his fight. Our players were seemingly pushed after every contest by tigers players and each time we just trudged off. Show some bloody pride and have a crack boys. Getting pushed around by old men and 18 year olds….
