#21 Archie Roberts - thru 2026

Matthew Lloyd should either become our next Coach or Rosas boss with this selection

If his disposal is getting a bit shabby, it would be because of fatigue i reckon. With Durham, the two guys that give it a crack all game every game. Those two are my favourites because they are the two that give unconditional effort. The rest pick and choose, even Merrett I reckon.

Hmm I thought his disposal was reasonable last night and way better than most on the field. Did some real classy stuff winning the footy at ground level.

Surely this guy has should be a red hot chance to win the RS. Hype train not really there in the media though…

Has more balls than McGrath and Redman combined.

Might need to go and see a doctor.

No! Keep him away from our doctors and medical staff! :weary:

Love Archie, but him kicking the ball absolutely terrifies me.

Well get ready for another 5 years of ■■■■■■■■ yourself anytime he kicks it out of our backline… excatly what we needed

He has terrific intent but his kicking at present is a real liability.

Lazy kicking

Very tired kicking action.

5 day break killing us

He is kicking too flat like our illustrious VC!

Brad Johnson reckons he would be close to win the rising star or at least finish top 3.

If he does win that would be an unbelievable achievement for a pick 54

Make this kid our captain. He was worth going to ■■■■ show of a game I witnessed in person tonight. We should only take players approved by Matthew Lloyd now

Bloke wears number 21 but in many ways feels like he is the antithesis of late-career Heppell.

His kicking doesn’t stand out to me as being particularly bad, but maybe I’m naturally cutting him some slack because he plays with a more competitive energy and physical intent than most of the senior players in the squad.

His kicking action is inherently good. Some of his attempted outcomes are overly optimistic but I think it’s more the choices than the fact he’s a bad kick. Which should (hopefully) just be a question of experience.

It looked like he annoyed the fark out of Toby Greene at times. Great to see. The kid is a natural, instinctive competitor who also has talent. That’s not been overly plentiful on this list.

Seems like a real pain the arse, pest kind of player. Always see him running into a scrap.

I like it.

There were a couple of times last night he missed open teammates to hit a GWS player on the chest.

I don’t think his kicking is unfixable and suspect it’ll all be corrected as he develops, but it is a bit more than just decision making.

But he’s currently in a side where all the other stuff he does more than forgives any errors he makes by foot. He’s been a real bright spot this year.

Add: If we could somehow hybrid Perkins’ kicking with this guy’s intensity, we’d have a genuine superstar footballer.
