Let’s give him another year

Nope

You can’t tell.me ,Dyson shouldn’t have been ahead of a few last few weeks.

About the only non panic merchant in the backline.

Thanks for the memories mate. Enjoy your trip and hopefully pull the parrots jumper on again

He was solid earlier in the year, he played his role and better. Was always in our best 5 or 6. If we kept up the momentum after the bye, he goes out on a high, or even gets another season as a role player. After we did this to Jobe, you thought, nah, Hepp will surely see success. Nope. Such a pissant club.

I wouldn’t go that far. I think we forget how low our standards are. Heppell had to retire this year. In saying this, he is a much better footy player then our entire backline, really speaks volumes

It’s the right time for him to retire but it stood out like dogs balls that he was the coolest head in our backline by a country mile.

You have Kelly, Laverde, Redman and McKay tripping over their shoelaces like it’s the first time they’ve played the game.

Hird also finished on 34 touches in game 253 in an away game where we dominated the last quarter.

That’ll do Dyson. That’ll do.

Shakas.

But but but WEEEEEID needed to play with McKay and Lab against a Sydney forward line with one genuine tall.

Just starting with defenders he’s still better than.

Double Shakas my sweet angel.

Despite all the frustrations and disappointment of the season (and hatred for the local Lions supporters who do nothing but moan about the umpiring regardless of the score) the whole family committed to putting on the Essendon gear and braving the Gabba to make sure we could celebrate Hepps and cheer him off at the end of the game tonight.

He did us proud.

Thanks Hepps for being such a wonderful servant and ambassador for the Club.

Great career and wonderful servant of the club.

Still staggered Brad and the match committee thought Jake Kelly and others were a better bet last week.

Absolutely travesty that this guy didn’t play in a winning final.

Thanks, Dyson. Couldn’t have asked any more of you.
