Why would you want Mozz aiming for a spot in the rehab group?

Sound like you’re describing Dell’Olio

Mozz looks like a mid. I hope he has the hammies to stand up to 15km’s each week because he is so well balanced and skilled. Just what we need, with a few Daveys and our current young mids of mcgrath, merrett and parish. toss in langford and ham and shiel will be still going. sammy D and Bryan feeding them we have the 2024 flag in the bag. Get on early.

I can see it happening 2023-2024 would have the new gameplan down pat by then and hopefully drafted a couple more talented players. Hope your prediction is right!

LOL

Mozzie is the player we have all been hoping for.

Really want to see his kickig in the field of play.
Desperately need a player of his ilk but with class disposal.

I see him hopefully as a goal kicking winger in the future.
That would be awesome.

1st game & he’s number 1

He reminds me a bit of NLM, I think when he burst on the scene he was a forward.

but that finish by mozzie on his left for his second goal was sublime.

i’d play him as much a second possible till the end of the year and then he can work on his fitness on the offseason.
losing 7kg in 7 weeks is amazing too if true.

Dunno if it was Due to NT, but Tippa and Mozzie were both huge and was massive energy when they got near the balll.

Watching this bloke, and Walla snagging sausages in the NT was the most I’ve enjoyed watching the footy this year.

Can’t be bothered going through the thread, did Jason Flogholm respond or go quiet after Mozzie’s performance?

I agree. But I just don’t see Raz stringing enough games together to make it a regular thing.

For guys who have followed him through the junior ranks and VFL, has he got another gear left in him in terms of speed?

There were a couple of occasions on Saturday night where I expected him to cover the ground quicker and burn off his opponent but he didn’t really get the separation. Not saying he’s slow mind you.

Can we expect as his aerobic capacity improves that so will his pace as his recovery rate gets better from contest to contest?

I grew up in a Hawthorn family. I was supposed to support the #1 and #2. But I got past all the threats of denial of pocket money, being the black sheep of the family and having to do extra chores when I made MY CHOICE of football side. I have had to endure all those Hawthorn premierships in the 80s and nearly two decades of crapness plus the saga.

And now, payback time and karma have arrived, because Mo22ie looks the goods and over there they will always have serious butt hurt about it. It’s going to be glorious.

He did some very exciting things in the VFL last year but suffered a nasty hamstring injury ( @ Werribee?) which slowed his progress considerably.

It’s great to drink the Mozzie Kool Aide today but we need to be honest, he is still a kid who only finished school last year & has a long road in front of him to build his strength & fitness base.

That said, he has that ‘it’ factor, exciting times!

Doubled down and went in harder

Yes, he went to the shed to find a bigger shovel.
I didn’t think he could find one larger, but kudos to him, he did !

Looks like he doesn’t mind looping along with the ball, but like Saad can find that extra yard if he has to. Great natural balance on the run too.

It’s my observation that he gets much more of it when on-ball, and he agrees, and that’s a goal of his. Better evasive skills in tight than McGrath, and that’s a pretty decent level to beat. Doesn’t mind going in hard, though we have yet to establish he’s robust enough to keep doing that.

Absolutely needs to build up the tank though.
