Here is mine for what it's worth. I think Carlisle is worth more than 5 but if we want to/need to pander to an unreasonable organisation:
Bombers: In pick 5 & StKilda 2nd round pick 2016. Out 2nd and 3rd round this year & Carlisle.
StKilda: In Bombers 2nd round pick 2015 (currently around 23), 3rd round pick 2015 (around 42) and Carlisle. Out pick 5, 2015, 2nd round 2016.

Kinda accepted that there is a very very good chance he is leaving so I’m just hoping we nab a gun player in return or high pick (which turns into a gun player)
On the plus side if he stays our tall stocks look a lot better with him, Hurley and Hooker
He is a sook. It is a team sport and you should play for the team not for yourself
I agree, and have ALWAYS agreed with this principal. However ask anyone that is forced to hire/work with/educate this younger generation.. they simply march to a different tune. They are used to be consulted from the age of kinder about what they "feel" like doing.. and by the time they go through school they basically don't do anything that they don't want too.
I’m not saying all Xers are like this or that they are lazy… most are hardworking and responsible people but they just grew up in a completely different environment that has lead to a very overdeveloped sense of entitlement.
Carlisle wanted to play as a defender and he made that clear… why the fark would he continue to play in a position he hated when clubs are willing to pay him top $$ to play exactly where he wants to?? Also he happens to play far far far better footy in that position.
It was a no brainer and has been since the experiment failed in about Round 3 last year. Sheer stupidity by the club and all involved… and I know for a fact that it was laid out VERY clearly to the club that he would leave if continued to play forward… and yet the change wasn’t made until too late this year when his mind was already made up.
If we get pick 5 then I won’t care… but if we get screwed then we have no one to blame but ourselves.
You better sack your fact checker!
Position was not even almost the issue
Almost completely personel related issues

Gen Y’s thank you very much! Don’t u ever confuse us with that whining mob…
Now, resume normal transmission.

No, we’ll have St Kilda to blame and Carlisle for choosing them. His value has nothing to do with the game St Kilda are playing. They want themselves a bargain and what’s fair to us and the player they supposedly want is secondary to that.
I think you missed my point but no matter. There wouldn't even be a trade discussion if the club hadn't screwed the pooch. Carlisle loved the club and would have been happy to play here for 10 years back in 2013... by middle of last year he was getting pretty ■■■■■■ but holding out for Hird to come back.
Once Hird played him forward… with more poor results… it was all over.
Fair enough, but if he truly loves the club, he probably has a chat to Worsfold and discusses his future. If he’s the mature leader he thinks he is, he probably becomes a driving force in the resurgence of our club. Instead, he’s jumping ship to a rubbish club like St Kilda. I think the position stuff is a crap excuse. He played most of the year like his heart wasn’t in it, especially towards the end and even when playing in the backline. I reckon he got sick of the place and I don’t entirely blame him. But I’d still like his loyalty and think his loss is massive. As for his value at trade, it’s a shame the marketplace consists of one club who may be banking on us accepting an unfair deal.
Don’t want him, if you need to talk a bloke into playing for our great club then he is not a person I want at the club
Absolute privilege to play for the bombers and he is just a selfish prick
Worst thing was his tweeting late in the year giving people the impression that he is red and black and is committed to the cause. Not far off judas and has a cancerous attitude that destroys team ethos
