Made up some ground in the Durham v Day debate tonight I reckon… may even be a top 5 mid in the comp by the end of the year if given the opportunity…

Absolute beast mode tonight. What a player he is, can run all day on a wing, can play a defensive role in the midfield, can ball hunt, can push forward. Most impressively he takes responsibility in big moments and he is only going to get better.
Im not sure what he is like around the club but if it’s in him I’d be grooming him for a leadership role.

If thats the case alot of his 15 disposals by hand missed their mark. Tighten these in & he will be one hell of a player.
To put it another way. He’s a bull on the inside. His effective possessions will be impacted by this - as will his missed shots at goal. Conversely when on the outside he hits targets by foot while Shiel constantly misses them.
If you are referring to last night, Durham had a couple of shockers and Sheil actually hit a couple of Essendon players, which is kind of a miracle
Newcombe’s a machine but he doesn’t have the extra gear that Durham or Day does…
