#23 - Harrison Jones - part 2 - Winger or not?

Hmmm…so Harry has been playing down back in the VFL and we bring him in when we play Adelaide.

So the question is…do we play him on Walker or Thilthorpe???

Yet another bizarre selection brought to you by Essington!

No, Ludowyke or Curtin, if he pushes forward.

Continued selection of Jones makes the continued selection of weideman look professional.

Continued? It’s his first game in a few weeks.

Mystifying and beyond the pale. He has the looks and movements of a shop store window mannequin. Sadly, footy requires a bit more than that.

1 game in a row is too much.

I was there to see him play against the Lions, and he was flat out horrible. Either his selection against the Crows is a pisstake or Solly has given up all pretense of getting the head coaching job. His selection is bewlidering.

When he was drafted one of the puff pieces the club put out was what a nice kid he was, even staying back to clean up the club house after games. It seems like he does have a talent he can fall back on.

Lot of grumpy old man talk in here

Jones is genuinely on the “before you throw em out throw em back” last legs.

May as well see this last month if there is anything, ANYTHING in him as a defender.

Langford will play on walker with Jones being the interceptor.

An interceptor who will have 4 or 5 possessions for the entire game.

Don’t be fkg ageist or sexist!

Regardless of age or gender, who would be pumping up his tyres after all these sad years?

Harry was one of the few that applied pressure all game, 5 tackles, 7 1%ers, 3 intercepts, 88% DE and a goal. Keep him in.

You can’t complain about him today. Thought he was decent

Yeah na, he cost us multiple goals with his poor positioning. There was a reason they moved him out of defense. They also had to play him on a first game player just so he wasn’t as exposed.

He did a couple nice spoils in the 1st quarter and basically nothing else.

He cracked in harder but was still poor today. Spilled some real easy ones and looks clueless in defence. Gets lost far too easy and doesn’t read the play well

Agree with you on not reading the play. That’s one of his biggest issues. I don’t think he has a football brain.

Which is why I thought giving him a crack down back would be worth a shot. Keep it simple.

I’d rather he be delisted but of we are stuck with him for another year then give him a crack in defence for the remainder of his time here
