I wonder if Dodoro would have swapped picks if Jones hadn’t rung him. love that we have someone that keen to play for us.

Let’s say all there is to say about how good this kid is, then say it all over again. Then a nap. Then we’ll say it a few more times before the next game. I just re-watched his highlights.

He’s got a quirky sense of humour

I didn’t know his dad played under 19s for the bombers.

He said he fell in love with the club the day James Hird hugged the fan after kicking the winning goal against Wet Toast. Thanks Jimmy.

Un agree. It should be defacto advantage. A good mark is more a highlight of the game than a free kick and the marker deserves the stat and the kick more than the free kick recipient.

On the other hand he does so much of this himself.
Look what he does to protect Walla when Stringer passed to him.

That hug is still bearing fruit today.

Jones I don’t believe was in any under age metro teams/squads and vic rep teams, he only made 16s late in season but was playing wing/Half forward, he had a growth spurt and then the following year played KPF and a bit of ruck relief for Calder. Great story of persistence.

Jones oozes loyalty, unlike that other guy

We’re lucky he played for Calder, if he played for one of the better sides in the Nab, he probably doesn’t slip through to us.
