He times his leap so well and doesnāt stand where he is going to mark the ball like the gorillas.
This Allows him to protect the space where he wants to mark the ball, take those last three steps to jump at the ball with momentum, and take it at the highest point. A smart player.

Itās awesome to see all the things that made him an impressive prospect in his draft year start to translate at AFL level and so quickly aswell. Iām pretty proud of my summary on him and looks to be quickly working on any queries I had on him.

It is such a good assessment of him it seems retrospective.
You identified everything from his leap timing, his defensive efforts and even his ruck work which I saw him win an impressive hit out this weekend and made me stand up and take notice.

Yep. Itās also good to know that even if he isnāt getting the ball, he is likely running a defender into the ground and could pop up late
