#23 Harrison Jones

Tracking towards Gumbleton territory

lets not forget, we played arguably our best footy in the back end of last year with no hooker, jones or tippa

I’d send langford forward to play third tall

Gee that sucks, gives Baldwin opportunities to settle into our best 22 over the next month.

Are you suggesting some sort of torture based performance scenario at somewhere like FarkCarlton?
Where if you’re not in the best team someone will come and beat the ■■■■■ out of you?

I suggest you take a look at current AFL injury lists

Every team has best 22 players who are either going to miss or are in doubt.

It’s a high intensely/contact sport, injuries happen all the time.

Deep breaths Nino

Get absolutely ducked.

I’m saying it sucks that we seem to cop injuries to our best players all the time

If he tore his ligaments going to take more than a month

A month to recover and then probably another few weeks of fitness be lucky to see him before the mid season break imo

The number of games Jones played last year - 16 - is half of Gumby’s career total. Gumby wouldn’t reach 16 games until his 4th year on the list. Jones has been unlucky, Gumby was profoundly cursed.

This fkg sucks. But stop being a hysterical sooky-la-la for just one minute, would you?

Me being a hysterical sooky lala yep ok

I said that other day that he’s going to miss weeks so this news hasn’t shocked me at all

It’s disappointing he will miss games but the sky isn’t falling and world isn’t against EFC players only

AFL is a fkn demanding sport. Injuries are going to happen.

We’ve got options and not having to go to a Jacob Townsend to play kpf

Alec Waterman reportedly earmarked to fast track his “fitness camp” and come in early play power forward Round 1.

When the ball was tossed to Waterman to start his goal kicking and marking practice, he was overheard saying “what the fark is this?”

Not syndesmosis. Not Lisfranc. Not the end of the world.

We’ll miss him big time early but plan around a smallish forward line and move on.

We need to try and keep a level head. Our key talls are very talented, raw, skinny and even growing still (Reid). As Sheeds says, it’s 1981/2. We’re approaching a prosperous period on field and this year is another development and year of growth. I

f we can keep a broad perspective and try our best to resist the frustrations that will possibly challenge our patience again this year, we won’t make short term potentially damaging decisions that cause long term consequences.

This could be the growing pains year before we launch to success.

It’s a long year. A marathon. We will hopefully build as the year goes on.

Well Azza, you’ve got a guaranteed 5-6 weeks as a permanent forward now. Let’s see if you’ve got it.

Another forward made from tissue paper.

What’s wrong with 4 ply paper towel?

Anyone thinking Baldwin is a like for like replacement for Jones is in for a shock. He might play Round 1, but he just do what Jones does, nowhere near it.

Considering they’re very different players I don’t think anyone is expecting Baldwin to do what Jones does

You know it’s a contact sport right?

That’s a good run mate. Only 2 of those guys are unavailable for round 1 and it’s highly debatable whether or not Francis is best 22.

You’re still having a good whinge though
