Yes but i was comparing to Zerk who gained 15+kgs in 2 seasons. No reason why Jones can’t get there quickly. He’s probably already 5-10 kgs heavier than when we picked him up.
I didn’t say he won’t grow. I said that unless he’s got a basically strong frame he will never be a KPP.
Ryder was a kid when drafted but he always had a strong frame. He grew into that quite quickly.
He’s a mobile, running type of forward, not a contested one. Jack Gunston plays at around 85kg. Tom Lynch (Adelaide) at ~87kg.
Jones will be aiming to hit at least 85-90kg in the next few years but with his play style he’ll be able to debut below that. He’ll end up above 90kg quite easily imo; if Justin Westhoff can get to mid-high 90s anyone can. And if you saw Nat Fyfe as a 19yo you wouldn’t have believed he’d get as big as he is.

Kgs of muscle on a year with the amount of running these blokes do.
2-3kg’s is the most that a normal
Person would achieve.
5kg’s of muscle for a person who just gyms and is completely natural is a great achievement.
I thought and still think it was dumb to delist him… do we realize you need players to kick goals to win games? Racking up disposals are as good as empty disposals if we have no one to kick it to. Even if he was for depth , he’d be getting a lot of games this year. He brought more than what Townsend brings (and I love Towner).
Will go into the offseason looking for more mids… likely end up with nothing or a backman. why don’t we get a spearhead from somewhere while no ones looking? Joey is cooked and/or gone, and Raz doesn’t kick goals anymore.

Pls he was too accurate to be an Essendon forward. He would even make his shot more difficult and still nail them.

I think it was more a case of he was out of contract and therefore out of if you keep 2/3 of Smack, Stewart and Brown he was the unfortunate one, despite being reasonably productive. I dare say if it was Stewart out of contract at the end of last year and not Brown, he’d have made way. But yeah, he’d be pretty handy right about now. For someone who ran like he was wearing slippers he covered the ground well!
