He’s out of contract at the end of the season. I feel like we’d certainly prefer to offer him just the one year deal but he and his manager would be pushing hard for a 2 year deal for a bit more job security. And there may well be a team out there who recall the upside that he displayed during 2021 and be prepared to offer him a fresh start and a 2 year deal.
Personally, I’d love to see him stay, get a full pre-season under an enhanced S&C team and see if he can get his mojo back next year.
We didn’t upgrade a pick to get him, and let him go this soon.
He was pick 30, not pick 60.
We’ve invested in him and he will be a great player for us in the future.
2 year deal on small coin … he is at least a backup to Stringer or Weed AND he may still be that freakish mobile marking goal kicker we got excited about a couple of years ago. Plus he has Black & Red running through his veins
Feel for Harry…Sure he’s earning decent money but its lonely waiting for these type of injuries to heal and then go through a whole cycle of strengthening and fitness. Whilst hoping another breakdown isn’t in the offing.
Come this far we’ve got to hang in with him. He’s got talent. Reckon EFC will look after and back him in.
Many here have short memories. Ability and talent doesn’t disappear down a toilet, or into the Hangar surface.
The onus is on the club to fix these injuries occurring on our young talls. They now accept they have shortcomings likely in their program. It’s now up to them to get this bloke and others playing.
Don’t understand the “hope he comes back bigger” comments considering Harry’s already barely been able to stay fit at his current weight. Figuring out how to keep him on the park in any capacity should be step 1.
I absolutely love how the only way members and fans hear of this is through Twomey.
Club is still an absolute PR disgrace.
Also, I have posted this before but the ankle issue is completely the fault of the S&C team, and if I were Jones id be livid at them.
